PDT Practical Workshop

Course Overview

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) has become an essential treatment modality for managing actinic keratoses, field cancerisation and selected non-melanoma skin cancers. Despite its proven clinical benefits, many clinicians lack the practical training required to confidently implement PDT into routine practice.

The DermEd Practical Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) Masterclass bridges the gap between theory and clinical implementation. Combining self-paced online learning with live demonstrations, case-based discussions and practical treatment protocols, this dermatologist-led program provides participants with the confidence to safely deliver PDT and build successful treatment pathways within their clinics.

A key focus of the course is full-field PDT treatment of the face, scalp, décolletage, hands and arms—areas commonly affected by chronic sun damage and field cancerisation. Participants will also explore patient selection, treatment planning, combination therapies, complication management and practical strategies for integrating PDT as a valuable service within their practice.

Generate New Revenue Streams – many clinics charge approximately $1,000–$2,000+ for a full-face PDT treatment, meaning clinicians may recover the cost of the course through a single appropriately indicated patient while creating ongoing treatment opportunities.
